It was the vision of Smt. Rukmini Bai Pandit in the 1940s to inculcate the essence of the Bhagavadgita in children to give them a basic start to education.

This noble vision was given a tangible form as the Geetha Shishu Shikshana Sangha by Prof. B.S.Pandit in 1976 to provide Value Based Education to the children of Mysore. The school was realized in 1948-49 with a mere 8 students.
GSSS is a nonprofit organization and managed by the WHO'S WHO of Mysore. The dedication and loyalty of its members to the cause of education has helped the institution grow by leaps and bounds within a short period of time.
