About The Department

The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science was established during the year 2022. This department offers a 4-year B.E (Artificial Intelligence and Data Science) programme with solid foundations of Data Science, which is essential for the present digital world. This programme incorporates relevant training with profound expertise of the most recent innovative methodologies. The objective of this course is to equip students with the skills to create practical solutions for issues faced by the society through service-learning modules. Gaining expertise in critical skills such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, advanced analytics and mathematical modeling are some of the important highlights of the course. This course will help the learners make various intelligent decisions in business applications and meet the challenges of the ever-growing technologically advanced IT industry and the digital revolution.

AI, Data Science and Machine Learning

Artificial intelligence and data science encompass a broad range of applications, platforms and other technologies aimed at mimicking human intelligence using technology. Artificial intelligence is action-planned perception feedback. Data Science employs various components of this pattern or loop to solve specific problems. Machine learning is the connecting factor between Data Science and AI. This is due to the fact that it is the process of learning from data through time. As a result, AI is a tool that assists data scientists in obtaining answers and solutions to specific challenges. However, machine learning is what makes that aim possible. Data Science encompasses AI, which includes machine learning. However, machine learning encompasses another sub-technology known as Deep Learning.
