About Placement Department

GSSSIETW is the first exclusive women’s engineering college, affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi. The Institution has a full-fledged Placement Department for a seamless conduction of placement and recruitment activities. Placement Department plays a pivotal role in counseling and guiding students for their successful career placements. Placement Department is not only responsible for achieving complete placement of students, but also caters to pre-placement training, Industry-Institute partnerships and MoUs with corporates.

To empower women professional employability by imparting necessary trainings to meet the expectations of the Industry and to achieve record placements by providing adequate attractive job opportunities.

Infrastructure:

Placement Department of GSSSIETW has 963 sq. ft. floor area with full-fledged, well-furnished and excellent state-of-the-art infrastructure. Pre-placement talk hall, Written Test Hall, Group Discussion Rooms, Online Test Labs and Interview Panels are well setup for the smooth and seamless conduction of campus recruitment processes.

Over 10+ years of diverse experience in Campus Recruitments, Administration, Training, Industry Academia Interactions, Career Development, Career mentoring and counseling, Lateral hiring, Branding, Industry collaborations Research, Guiding and Managing projects/ consultancy etc. 

He has completed his Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) in Electronics & Communication Engg and Master of Technology (M.Tech ) in Digital Electronics & Communication Engg from VTU, Belgaum. 

He has successfully placed 1900+ fresher’s (On & Off campus) and 400+ experienced candidates (Lateral Hiring) in well known companies during last 7+ years. 

Was conferred Certificate of Recognition for the outstanding contribution to INFOSYS campus connect program. 

He has won 3rd prize in professional Knack track-Melting Pot of Inspire faculty contest at INFOSYS, Bangalore.

He has published, presented 6+ research papers in journals, National and international conferences.  

Attended 12+ workshops/STTPs on the latest areas of research in various reputed organizations(IIT’s/NIT’s). 

Established and initiated many educational clubs like Quiz Club, Debate Club, APTI Club etc. 

Worked as a Chief coordinator for the consortium of pool colleges for the strategic initiative of the pool colleges of Mangalore region for 2 years.

Organized a mega apprenticeship job fair in association with Board of Apprenticeship (BOAT), Chennai during August 2016, where 35+ companies participated and 75+ offers were rolled out.

The Dept. of Training & placement organizes training programs to build, motivate and enhance the knowledge of the students towards the recruitment and interview process with the below training programs during each semester, making students industry ready.

A. During First Semester: Bridge Course

D. During Fourth Semester: Employability Skills I – Duration 30 Hours

E. During Fifth Semester: Employability Skills II – Duration 30 Hours

F. During Sixth Semester: Employability Skills III – Duration 60 Hours

G. During Seventh Semester: Employability Skills IV – Duration 60 Hours

• Aptitude Recap Session– Recap of concepts of all the major topics in Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning and Verbal Ability.
• Interview Preparation– Group Discussions, Interview Skills and Resume Writing.
• Advanced Technical Training– JAVA with OOPS, Algorithms and Advanced Programming Skills.
• Company Specific Training– Company Specific Training for all major recruiters visiting campus.

GSSSIETW Signs MOU with Mulesoft, A Salesforce Company:

GSSSIETW signed an Academic Alliance with Mulesoft, Bengaluru on 25th March 2022. Being an active member, GSSSIETW in association with Mulesoft will become sales force certified in Integration with various technologies such as AI & ML, Big Data, Cloud and IOT.

Mulesoft is a Salesforce company focused on providing technology and guidance, the company enterprises need to build their own application network by enabling them to speed up project delivery, secure and manage access with ease, and do more, faster with less.

About Mulesoft Academic Alliance:

By signing this MOU, students of GSSSIETW will become Salesforce certified and have International recognition which will certainly help to add value to students during the recruitment and also post recruitment to work on Salesforce Technology driven projects. As a Certified individual, students can perform the work faster and deliver projects more successfully and efficiently by being able to meet clients and stakeholder requirement. This Certification course will close organizational skills gap and increase skills across the students thereby enhancing the placement success rate.

1. This model is being offered to the Top institutions in India ranked by NIRF.
2. The student can access the MuleSoft content anywhere and anytime after their regular academic classes.
3. Students will get access to the material, they can prepare well for the Certification test.

Being an active member, GSSSIETW in association with AWS academy has delivered series of courses such as Cloud Foundation, Associate – Architect, Developer, Operations, Machine Learning Foundation, Data Analytics etc.

The learning that they participate in, while in courses, provides a practical foundation for cloud that moves beyond the theoretical.

GSSSIETW Signs an MoU with UiPath  

GSSSIETW signed an Academic Alliance with UiPath on 29th July 2020. GSSSIETW in association with UiPath will be conducting courses for the students on usage of UiPath Studio, UiPath Robot and UiPath Orchestrator, RPA Design and Development, Capstone projects. On successful completion of the course students can take up RPA certification.

GSSSIETW signed an MOU with Vmware and has become the member of Vmware IT academy on 9th January 2020. Being an active member, GSSSIETW in association with VMware has delivered series of courses on Cloud & Virtualization Concepts, Software Defined Storage Concepts and Network Virtualization Concepts and has enabled students on latest technologies to match the industry expectation, Around 250+ students have already completed the certifications.

GSSS Institute of Engineering & Technology for Women, Mysuru has recorded the highest placements for the 2022 outgoing batch students. The placement season which started during July 2021 has seen more than 105 companies conducting the campus hiring, and making 720 placements offers out of which 53 job offers are above 10LPA and 143 job offers are above 7LPA. The highest salary being offered is 21.4 lakhs. Compared to the previous year, the number of dream offers offered has been increased by three fold and the Average salary offered for the placed students has seen a jump of 25 % and the number of companies visiting the campus has been doubled.

The Average salary offered for the placed students has seen a jump of 10 % compared to the previous year and the number of companies visiting the campus has seen a rise.

 “The placement season which started during August 2020, has seen more than 70+companies conducting the virtual hiring, and making 381+ placement offers with the highest salary being offered 19 lakhs and more than 40 students getting placed with a salary package above 6 LPA”.

The highlight of this year placement season was, FISERV hiring 11 students with a salary package of 8.5 LPA, Accenture hiring 74 students with a salary package of 4.5 LPA, DXC Technology hiring 45 students with a salary package of 3.6 LPA, Capgemini hiring 32 students with a salary package of 3.8 LPA, TCS hiring 24 students with a salary package 3.96 LPA, Cognizant hiring 20 students with a salary package 4 LPA, Infosys hiring 18 students with a salary package 3.6 LPA, CGI hiring 16 students with a salary package 3.5 LPA.

GSSS Institute of Engineering College for Women, Mysuru has recorded best placements in spite of Corona virus crisis for the 2020 outgoing batch students. The Average salary offered for the placed students has seen a jump of 28% compared to the previous year and the number of companies visiting the campus has been increased. 

“The placement season which started during August 2019, has seen more than 60+companies being visited the campus and recruiting 351+ students with the highest salary being offered 11.06 LPA”. 

The Major highlight of this year placement season was, Accenture, an IT Major has recruited 108 students with a salary package of 4.5 LPA.

Achievement - Placement Record 2018 - 2019

GSSSIETW has achieved the best placements records, for its 2019 outgoing batch. The Placement season started during last week of Aug 2018, has seen wide range of recruiters with whooping number 291 offers been made with an highest package of 10.7LPA. A total of 53 companies have visited for campus recruitment out of which 18 companies offered package more than 5LPA.

The highlight of this year’s placement season was participation of Premium Recruiters like VMware, Amazon, GE Digital, Applied Materials, Samsung R&D, Informatica, ABB ltd, Unisys, Jaro Group, Siemens, Scientific games, Odessa Technologies etc and some of the top recruiters among different sectors participated for recruitment were L&T, Infosys, TCS, Wipro, IBM, HCL, BLP, Mindtree, Aricent, Mphasis, SLK Software and many more.
